Running and Passing.

We took my grandfather back to Poland.

In June, I joined members of my family on two week visit to Poland. We toured the parts of Warsaw, Lubin, Krakow, Zakopane, and my grandfather’s hometown of Borzechow. Eating and basking in the glory of your return to the “old country” can be quite tiring. My grandfather is a master of the nap.

Wow, you stole my idea! Next time you come home you’ll have to see my blurb.com book “Cached”. It’s a coffee table picture book of all of my sleeping photos.

Doesn’t something about the act make you feel like a split between Jude Law in Road to Perdition and Tom Berenger in Sniper?

It is interesting how the web gives us the freedom to stare down and really observe other people (lives, habits, looks). It’s harder to juggle real life observations with social norms, situations, etc. I don’t think I’ve seen either of those movies, but I’ll testify to the difficulty of photographing people.

Nice idea for a book, I gotta check that out. I’ve toyed with using Blurb or MagCloud for a portfolio/project. I’d love to use it to spread my work and have a bound+printed element for my own collection.
