Music Journalism, Impose Magazine, and the 2009 Noise Pop Festival
I will be traveling from my current basecamp in Portland, Oregon to Sacramento, California this coming Wednesday, Feburary 25 to do a music journalism project with Impose Magazine Associate Editor and Writer Blake Gillespie. We will be covering the 2009 Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco. Music, Art, Film. Should be good vibes and great times. There will be many stories to be told. Columbia River Gorge Project
I have been hiking and photographing the Columbia River Gorge area. These images were taken during the month of January, when the gorge was cold and foggy. The images are purposefully cinematic and impressionistic.
The images were captured on a simple point and shoot digital camera modified with a hacked lens. I harvested a very convex lens from inside a Polaroid camera and, after removing the original lens from the camera, affixed the new lens to the existing barrel/body.
